Use in cooling towers
Cooling towers often require a strict control and use of larger quantities of chemicals and regular dosing for biology control to enable operation of the tower. ESOT ultra is the latest technology to prevent the growth of algae, microorganisms and formation of bio film which prohibit and reduce cooling efficiency in cooling towers and can cause clogging of films and pumps, and corrosion of other constituents of the system. ESOT ultra applies the latest ultrasound techniques to prevent formation of algae and bio films in all industrial uses. ESOT ultra prevents formation of legionella and consequently the risk for human health. ESOT ultra drastically reduces the costs of the use of biocides.
Use for waste waters
Waste waters are often treated for reuse as drinking water or for other purposes. Since such waters contain high level of nutrients, algae can grow quickly as well as microorganisms and bacteria. Automatic system for preparation and monitoring of cooling water quality
AquaControl is a carefully controlled and regulated system to compensate losses due to evaporation and TDS system. It is combined with a modern chemical treatment of cooling system enabling more than 4-times water thickening in the cooling system and considerably reduced water consumption used for water compensation. At the same time it does not endanger system operation due to lining, water scaling, corrosion and biofilm. AquaControl enables a careful control of the level of supplying water and losses due to TDS system, electrical conductivity of raw and system water and of pH value of the system water. Based on these parameters it regulates dosing pumps to stabilise hardness/corrosion inhibitors, dispersant and biocide and this way it supplies needed quantities of chemicals into the system water. The system enables continuous supply of biocide into the water for water compensation or shock dosing in adequate intervals. The controller in the process of shock dosing prevents TDS system at least 4 hours after the dosing to reach the optimal effect of biocide and prevent leakage of biocide into the environment. AquaControl insures adequate concentration of chemicals in the system water and thus optimal cooling system operation and it prevents the formation of water scaling, corrosion and biofilm in the system.
AquaControl system for preparation and control of cooling water quality contains:

VRTX is a system of cooling water preparation without chemicals, which utilizes mechanical principles and kinetic energy of hydrodynamic cavitation. Technology prevents scaling, corrosion and proliferation of microbial organisms.
VRTX has developed a system for the selection of sizes and is used for general purpose specification of water treatment without chemicals. Current appropriate size of the VRTX system may vary depending on the specific information on locations such as nominal weight, total volume of water in the system, chemical composition of the filler water and characterization of the heat load of the system.
VRTX is proven technology. The oldest unit is operational for 15 years and has many references in:

How does it work?
Cooling water is received from the cooling tower or condensing pool. Speed, trajectory and rotation are used to create the opposite watercourses, which leave the precise nozzles. Water collides with an enormous kinetic energy and shear. At the core of these flows an area of full vacuum is formed, which removes gases from the water. Under these conditions hydrodynamic cavitation occours (the formation, growth and collapse of bubbles) with intense, microscopically localized extremes of temperature, pressure, and high-energy micro-jets. Water passing through VRTX device is returned to the pool cooling system. The precipitated mineral colloids, together with the other colloids are removed by filtration.
VRTX technology removes limescale
The solubility of calcium is inversely proportional to the water temperature. In the cooling system calcium has a tendency to precipitate out of solution and form limescale. Water treatment with chemicals retains calcium ions in solution. Using VRTX technology by means of kinetic energy which is released when the water streams collide, solid particles of calcium carbonate are formed which form colloids. These colloids attract dissolved calcium and carbonate ions and are then filtered from the water stream.
VRTX technology kills bacteria
VRTX cavitation zone is extremely effective in removing microorganisms. Exceptional localized temperatures and extreme pressures that develop in the VRTX chamber, damage cell walls of microorganisms.
VRTX technology prevents corrosion
In VRTX water stream an area which is close to full vacuum (27.5 to 29.5 mm Hg) is formed that causes the degassing of dissolved CO2 from the water and keeping the pH of the water near or above 8.5. Removing items that could form the limescale and kill bacteria allows VRTX technology, to also remove corrosive chemicals from the cooling system. VRTX technology using filtration removes solid particles from the cooling water and thereby maintains the surfaces of equipment clean. VRTX technology and ESOT guarantee that this device is free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of one year from purchase. Each unit or part of which is shown inadequate during the warranty period, will be replaced by an authorized VRTX representative. The results demonstrate that the technology reduces the consumption of filler water and the need to remove salt from the cooling system. Experience indicates a 40% reduction in the amount of water for removing salt, and 15% of the filler water annually. Thus, a typical VRTX system of 1,000 tons capacity can save over 4,000 m3 of water per year.
